The deltaflow differential pressure flowmeter (dp) is a cost- and energy efficient flowmeter for gases, liquids and steam.
Due to the special probe profile the deltaflow pitot tube can assure the highest level of precision and excellent process liability, even under extreme conditions. Averaging pitot tubes are causing the lowest pressure loss of all dp-flow meters and are therefore highly energy efficient. The deltaflow differential pressure flow meter has been installed several ten thousand times in all industrial fields. Compared with traditional ISO 5167 primary elements such as orifices or venturis, gas flow meter deltaflow is not only saving energy but is also more inexpensive and causes less mounting costs. deltaflows high tolerance on non ideal flow profiles ensures high accuracies even under short inlet conditions.

Advantages of flow measurement with the deltaflow pitot tube compared to orifices, venturis and nozzles according to ISO 5167 or DIN 1952:

Flow measurement with the deltaflow pitot tube is based on the same principles as classic primary elements (orifice, venturi, nozzle), so integration into a measurement computer or DCS is straightforward.
Multi-task connection - patented flexibility for differential pressure flowmeter
Every pitot tube needs a connection system that transmits the differential pressure from the probe to the analyser, the differential pressure transmitter. The connection system for our flowmeter based on differential pressure deltaflow is special: it can be easily adapted to different applications, whether you want to measure gas, vapour or liquids.
How does it work? The deltaflow connection consists of a head and two universal adapters. These components are identical for all media. We customise the head for you so that the deltaflow fits your application perfectly.
This multi-tasking concept has an additional advantage when measuring vapour flow:
You don't need expensive additional condensate vessels. We have dimensioned the volume of the connection adapters to ensure sufficient vapour condensation at all times. And we have reduced the condensate slope - the cause of large measurement errors in the part-load range - by a factor of 10 compared to conventional traps. This means that differential pressure measurement is accurate down to the smallest flow rate, even at partial load with steam. That makes deltaflow a very accurate steam flow meter.

Compared with classical primary elements such as venturi, orifice or nozzle, the deltaflow gas flow meter is not only more accurate and reliable but saves also a huge amount of energy. Remembering that a sinused as a steam flow meter may save several kW of energy, one can imagine that deltaflow is not only saving money but also has a countable positive effect on the energy losses in industrial processes. This is not only economic but also reduces the world wide greenhouse effect.
