Differential pressure (dp) flow measurement for gas, steam and liquids
At systec Controls, deltaflow stands for flow measurement using the differential pressure (dp) method - highly accurate, reliable and robust.
The deltaflow series has been under constant development for many years. We not only draw on our own expertise, but also cooperate with renowned institutes such as the Chair of Fluid Mechanics at the University of Erlangen, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, the Institute of Thermodynamics in Munich and the Fraunhofer Institute.
The deltaflow dynamic pressure probe represents a revolution in differential pressure flow measurement: The flow measurement is as robust and reliable as with classical primary elements and has a very wide range of applications. Numerous patents protect the deltaflow dynamic pressure probe.
The deltaflowC gas flow meter from systec Controls also uses the differential pressure principle. It is the world's smallest and fastest multivariable transmitter for measuring the mass flow of gases and enables precise real-time flow measurement. Highly sensitive sensors for differential pressure, static pressure and temperature as well as a powerful processor are integrated in the smallest possible space. The deltaflowC can measure mass flow up to 2000 times per second, providing accurate measurements even in highly dynamic processes such as pulsating compressed air at the compressor or exhaust gases from combustion engines.
deltaflowC is available in two versions:
As an insertion probe for pipes from DN32 and as a screw-in venturi for smaller pipes with a diameter of 3/4 to 1.5 inches. The diameter of the screw-in venturi can be flexibly adjusted to cover a wide measuring range.
Both versions are easy to install: The probe version requires only a fitting on the pipe, while the venturi version is simply screwed into a piece of pipe.
The microcontroller determines the physical quantities dp, pabs and T ultra-fast, filters the values using patented methods and provides the user with the mass flow signal as well as the pressure and temperature signals.
As a result, deltaflowC is not only suitable for measuring stationary flows, but also copes with high measurement dynamics and pulsations where other mass flow measurement methods fail.
